I highly recommended this company and the staff. Excellent customer service! Having arrived in Key West without a mode of transportation other than Uber services, we decided we wanted to try out E-bikes for a couple of days. We made the request for the bikes online, filling out the appropriate paperwork for 2 bikes, for what we thought was the next 2 days and hit send. We got back the appropriate disclaimer and waiver forms to fill out right away, which if you read through the entire thing, was hilarious (bonus stress relief)! The following day, which is a Sunday, we waited for our bikes to be delivered. After a half hour delay of when we were expecting the bikes, we decided we had better text them to make sure they were coming. Another delay and we looked more carefully at our reservation and found we had mistakenly put the dates of the next week instead of the current one! We had hit the wrong buttons and made a big mistake and thought we were going to have to walk around town again but before we knew it, we received a telephone call to let us know they were outside our vacation home with the bikes ready to go! They had received our message and scrambled to get the bikes out to us. The fixed the computer reservation and we were ready to go, all with smiles on their faces, on their day off! In addition to us receiving such great customer service, a friend joined us later in the week and wanted to rent a regular bicycle. She walked to a local shop only to be turned away very rudely. Walking home, she came across this same Island Bicycles & Skateboards shop who not only welcomed her in and got her outfitted with a bike, but they also let her have the bike on a day-to-day basis as long as she texted or called to let them know. It was all just that easy!

I went in about a week ago to Island bikes and was immediately greeted by Selvyn. I needed a star nut and top cap for an old Marzocchi fork installed, which he wasn’t sure they had. After a thorough search he found the parts and did the job, including parts and labor for $10.75. I was shocked, another prominent bike shop I used to work at as a mechanic would have charged three times that amount, plus an attitude to boot. So, since my 8 year old daughter needed a bigger bike, I perused the Bianchi bikes and was helped out by Donnie, who immediately helped take down the bike I was looking at. Took my daughter after school for a quick test ride and she loved the bigger 20” wheels, handbrakes and suspension fork. Bought it without hesitation and Adelyn is riding better than ever. Ryan also deserves a mention for his help and continued friendliness. Overall, best experience ever on the island, even though they were very busy. I should have been working here years ago! Thanks guys!

Very nice on helping me out with bicycle on putting it in the box. Just did a trip from Fairfax Virginia to here . Rayan and Sevilan did a great job on helping me out! Recommend this shop!

Outstanding. Best bike rental experience I’ve had anywhere. They patiently spent all the time needed to fit our bikes properly to our height, allowing us to go on a few short rides to check the adjustments All was done with friendliness and good humor. Then after we left, the manager chased me down two blocks away because he wanted to double check one safety-related thing. Made a point of assuring us we could call them if we had any problems.
